Nathan occupies his time writing and conceptualizing film and documentary projects in his free time and currently works as a marketing consultant in Omaha, Nebraska after his graduation from Middle Tennessee State University in 2012. He is a lifelong Catholic, although has only returned to the full practice of his faith in 2010. Nathan grew up in a military family, and while Tennessee has always been considered home, he has lived in Florida, South Dakota, Arkansas, and attended high school at Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha, Nebraska and then the University of Nebraska at Omaha before transferring to Middle Tennessee. Active in college ministry and retreats, Nathan claims Saint Ignatius of Loyola as his patron, whose philosophy on prayer plays an important role in Nathan's daily life. He has a love of unexpected Catholics and prays frequently that the historic Methodist Church in his hometown of McMinnville, Tennessee will be purchased on behalf of a monastic order and turned into an abbey, which will then be the focal point of the town's culture.
